Overview

This intern will work closely with the company’s legal and compliance teams. Opportunity to work on projects involving commercial agreements, regulatory and compliance issues in the casino/hospitality industry and other legal matters in support of the company’s operations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete tasks and responsibilities that benefit the organization and its guests
  • Communicate questions, observations, needs, etc. as appropriate with the “site supervisor” and/or other Company professionals to enhance the learning experience and produce professional results
  • Complete the agreed upon “contract hours” required by school's internship program
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values
  • Demonstrate exceptional internal and external guest service skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an ABA accredited JD degree program (1L or 2L) demonstrating an interest in pursuing a legal career
  • Strong legal research and legal writing skills
  • Highly organized, with critical attention to details
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while also managing critical deadlines
  • Capacity to maintain the confidentiality of all company, business partner, and employee information
  • Positive, self-motivation, high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Related experience or education.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
