Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Finance the incumbent oversees the financial analysis team and performs financial, operational and technical analyses. This position provides support to enterprise management by ensuring business strategies and financial goals are achieved.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and develop a team of up to 5 Analysts to support the business units.
  • Coordinates and supports business and financial planning, including short and long term financial forecasting.
  • Leads the annual budget process.
  • Facilitate the issuance of the Daily Operating Report.
  • Supports the Capital Expenditure process.
  • Assists in assessing and communicating financial and operating results to managers.
  • Responsible for monthly executive financial reporting requirements.
  • Develops appropriate financial and operating metrics for use by management in decision making.
  • Ensures departmental goals and performance measures are understood and achieved by managers.
  • Provides support for centralized functions associated with the respective business enterprise. Centralized functions include, but are not limited to accounting, treasury, financial planning and tax.
  • Evaluates and develops financial analysis tools to assess growth, investment or liquidation options.
  • Participates in the assessment of current systems and business processes for adequacy and consistency.
  • Develops financial and operating statements. Assists and/or presents information.
  • Supports review meetings with managers to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of management.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
  • Such other duties and functions as may be required by the CFO or the Senior Vice President of Finance.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, business or accounting.
  • Master’s Degree and/or professional certification are preferred.
  • Expertise (ability to build and support reports/analytical tools) in the following programs is highly valued: Excel, F9, SQL, Word, Powerpoint, Infinium.
  • Two to four 4 years of financial analysis experience in the Gaming/Hospitality industry.
