Overview

Under the direction of the Financial Analysis Manager, the incumbent will assist with the preparation of financial statements. 

Responsibilities

  • Create and analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as needed to maximize company profitability.
  • Utilize data-mining techniques to create accurate and timely reporting for management.
  • Coordinates and supports business and financial planning, including short- and long-term financial forecasting.
  • Develops appropriate financial and operating metrics for use by management in decision making.
  • Prepares recurring reports by analyzing, interpreting and summarizing financial & marketing data.
  • Charts monthly, yearly revenues and expenses to aid in trend analysis.
  • Supports the annual budget process.
  • Develops historical, current and potential future trend analysis.
  • Ensures departmental goals and performance measures are understood and achieved by managers.
  • Develops financial and operating statements.
  • Supports review meetings with managers to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Evaluates and develops financial analysis tools to assess growth and investment options.
  • Provides support for centralized functions associated with the respective business enterprise. Centralized functions include, but are not limited to, accounting and financial planning.
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of management.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the area of finance, business or accounting. Advance degree and/or professional certification are preferred. Experience of at least two (2) to four (4) years with significant exposure in financial analysis in casino hotel industry. Must have experience with MS Excel, experience with MS Access/SQL a plus.Must currently hold or be able to obtain a NJ Casino Employee Registration license through the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement.
