Overview

Under the direction of the Stewarding Manager, the incumbent cleans dishes, pots and pans, kitchen areas and utensils.

Responsibilities

  • Washing, scrubbing or polishing utensils such as pots, pans, trays, silverware and plates.
  • Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors and disposing of garbage.
  • Loads and unload dish machines.
  • Keep dish room organized
  • Wash wares in 3 bay sink.
  • Cleans and sanitizes kitchen walls, coolers and freezers (both walk-in and reach-in), and ceilings (including air vents and light fixtures).
  • Cleans and scrubs the dock and trash areas.
  • Cleans and sanitizes kitchen floors and drains in all food and beverage service areas.
  • Keep areas stocked including paper towels and soap.
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Maintains kitchen area, equipment, and environment to a high caliber of cleanliness and upkeep defined by the deep cleaning scope.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic kitchen sanitary guidelines and basic dish machine operations preferred.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
