Under the direction of the Hotel Accounting Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures by reviewing food & beverage requisitions, receiving and inventory procedures.
Examine all food & beverage invoices, verifying quantities ordered and received against the food order sheets/purchase orders; compares quoted prices to invoice prices.
Verifies the extensions on food & beverage invoices on a selective basis and occasionally spot checks invoice unit costs to match them with the market quotation sheet.
Reviews total food & beverage requisitions for pricing and extension accuracy; maintains cost percentages on a daily basis for both food & beverage menu items and prepares a daily report.
Responsible for ensuring the completion and integrity of all month-end food & beverage inventories. This includes working with management to establish and document proper policies and procedures.
Prepares daily journals and worksheets to record information to be used for monthly entries posted to general ledger.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Minimum of three (2) years of experience in F&B cost accounting is required.
