Responsibilities
Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest’s name when possible
Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell
Anticipate guests’ service needs
Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions
Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3 rings, answering with a smile in one’s voice, using the callers’ name, transferring calls to the appropriate person/ department, requesting permission before placing the caller on hold, and allowing the caller to end the call
Speak to guests’ and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language
Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well being of guests.
Take the guest order , always trying to use suggestive sell / upselling techniques
Serve food and beverage to guest throughout the F&B venue
Running food from the kitchen out to dining guest
Pre-bus and bus tables throughout shift utilizing a tray
Complete open and closing side duties during the shift
Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings and organize seating for groups with special needs with minimal amount of disturbance to other guests.
Process all guest orders thru the POS terminal
Adhere to the Hard Rock cash handling policy
Adhere to PCI compliance about protecting guest information
Protecting basic information from guest such as name, room numbers and credit card information.
Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g. blind drops)
Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practicing clean as you go procedures
Notify management of maintenance repair issues
Complete any additional reasonable requests by management
Check with supervisor before leaving at end of shift
Qualifications
Minimum six (6) months of related experience required
Able to work a varied work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
Be flexible and adaptable to change.
Adheres to state liquor laws and beverage control procedures that pertain to serving and handling.
