  • Overview

    Under the direction of the Hotel Accounting Manager, the incumbent will provide direct supervision of the Hotel Accounting Department and staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in hiring, training, motivating, evaluating and supervising staff in order to ensure that employee receives adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established department objectives.
    • Assist with the daily auditing, processing and recording of revenue and expenses for rooms, food & beverage and retail. Ensures all work is coordinated properly with subordinates and completed on a timely basis.
    • Assures compliance to established departmental procedures and policies.
    • Prepares daily journals and worksheets to record information to be used for monthly entries posted to general ledger.
    • Solves problems which arise in the daily paperwork by dealing directly with the supervisory personnel in the various departments.
    • Schedules work assignments to Hotel Accounting Representatives on a weekly basis.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED is required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Hotel Accounting is required.
    • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills a must.
    • Knowledge of personal computers and computer systems including LMS and InfoGenesis preferred.
    • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required. 
    • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a NJ Casino Employee Registration license through the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement.
