  • Overview

    The Director of Training and Engagement is responsible for managing the learning strategy for  Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City as well as employee engagement.   

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure training tools are kept up to date to meet the needs of the business.
    • Proactively design/re-design systems, processes and programs to eliminate obstacles.
    • Evaluate work procedures, review standards, identify methods for increasing efficiency or effectiveness, and respond proactively to any needs that have arisen.
    • Assist with the Training Critical Path for openings of new hotel/casino locations, completing all tasks on time and on budget.
    • Ensure each new property has effective implementation of all brand Human Resources and Training standards and programs.
    • Conduct 'train the trainer' sessions and participate in the induction of key Human Resources staff members to Hard Rock's systems and practices.
    • Communicate a clear and consistent message regarding People goals to produce desired results globally
    • Ensure Training initiatives are implemented and set and monitor success metrics
    • Monitor guest engagement scores and review guest feedback, in partnership with Operations ensure appropriate corrective action is taken where necessary
    • Partner with operational leaders to assess, design, deploy, measure and evaluate learning/ performance solutions and interventions
    • Maximize LMS to create a collaborative and engaging learning environment (Collaborative work space/Mobile App etc.)

    Qualifications

    • Must have 7+ years’ experience in a training & development leadership role. At least four years of progressively responsible experience in an education, HR or operations leadership role required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related discipline from an accredited institution required.
    • Experience supporting multiple business locations in multiple cultures preferred.
    • Excellent leadership skills with strong problem solving and influencing skills.
    • Ability to challenge the obvious based on sound reasoning.
    • Consultative skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
